Ghouls in the Valley evokes a shadowed landscape of drifting fog, distant figures, and uneasy stillness.  Independent melodic lines weave together to create shifting textures and eerie harmonic colors, producing an atmosphere that is both mysterious and unsettling.  Rather than following a traditional narrative, the work invites listeners to inhabit an imagined world where shapes emerge briefly from the mist before disappearing once again.
