Concerto for Tuba

Concerto for Tuba is a three-movement work exploring the pursuit of hopes and dreams.  Throughout the concerto, the soloist serves as both the storyteller and protagonist, navigating moments of ambition, uncertainty, reflection, and triumph while pursuing an ever-present vision of what could be.

The opening movement, Dream Forever!, introduces the excitement and possibility of dreaming beyond one's current circumstances.  Field of Lost Dreams turns inward, reflecting on aspirations left unrealized and paths that were never meant to be.  The finale, When Dreams Become Reality, follows the soloist through a final surge of determination as uncertainty gives way to triumph.  The concerto concludes with a brief return of the first movement, suggesting that every fulfilled dream gives rise to another waiting to be pursued.
